  • We use water to replenish the body fluid we lose daily(about 2.5 litres per day) through sweating, breathing, urination and other bodily functions as we perform our daily activities.
  • Water regulates our body temperature and carries nutrients and oxygen to the cells in our bodies.
  • Water helps to protect and cushion our vital organs, such as the brain, spinal cord, and interior of the eyes, minimizing potential risk of injury.
  • It helps to convert food into energy, helps to absorb nutrients and assists in flushing out toxins and bacteria in the body that can cause disease, as well as helping the immune system.
  • Water acts as a natural moisturiser to the skin, preventing it from drying out, helping to maintain its elasticity and giving it a general healthy glowing appearance.
  • Water assists digestion and prevents constipation.
  • The human body can survive for several weeks without food but for only a few days without water.
