Water is Life!
Scientifically, water is H2O (Two atoms of Hydrogen paired with a single Oxygen atom). Water is a common chemical substance that exists in three states; solid(ice), liquid(water) and gas(vapour/steam).
Water is the most abundant and important substance on Earth. Earth's surface consists of 70% water. The sources for water storage are the oceans, icecaps & glaciers, ground water, fresh-water lakes, inland seas, soil moisture, atmosphere, rivers, biological bodies, manufactured products, and food stores.
The volume of water on earth is maintained through what is known as "water cycle" or "hydrological cycle" where water moves continually through a cycle of evaporation or transpiration, precipitation, and runoff, usually reaching the ocean.
Water is very essential to life and is a major component of all living things. It is the most abundant molecule in organisms from single cell micro-organisms to complex plants amd mammals. Humans especially require clean, fresh drinking water for general well being.
Besides, water is critical in sustenance of other life forms and environment; and indeed for all other aspects of human existence. Water uses are found in health and hygiene, agriculture, industry, transportation, sports and relaxation, even in religious ceremonies.
